The apparatus for the working of workpieces under the action of centrifugal force relates to the shaping of metals by cutting. The apparatus includes drums (5) with discharge openings (35), the drums being arranged in a crosspiece (2) with the possibility of planetary rotation and being equipped with lids (7) for the discharge openings (35), and also a collecting container (8) for the workpieces which have been worked. In this arrangement, the discharge opening (35) of the drum (5) is situated in the lower part thereof. The lid (7) is fitted externally on the drum (5) and is equipped with a device (36) for its displacement, which is arranged along the axis of rotation of the crosspiece (2).
