<p>PURPOSE:To automatically change the page turn-over speed in response to the contents of a displayed picture by detecting the quantity of data on the displaying pictures in a page buffer, calculating a prescribed picture display time based on the detected data quantity and displaying the picture of a next or preceding page based on the calculated result. CONSTITUTION:A picture reading part 22 reads the picture data out of an optical disk based on the instruction of a picture display instruction part 21. A process speed control part 23 analyzes the picture data and decides a page turn-over speed. Based on the information on the decided page turn-over speed, a picture display part 24 displays the pictures at a prescribed page turn-over speed. Thus it is possible to automatically control (change) the page turn-over speed (display time) in proportion to the quantity of picture data in the case the page turn-over speed is changed in accordance with the displayed pictures. In principle the page turn-over speed is reduced and increased with the large and small quantity of data respectively.</p> |
