<p>PURPOSE:To start detection of a target at an early stage by searching said target without altitude informations based on the second-dimensional informations of the distance and direction obtained by a monitoring radar at an air port with using an accurate measuring radar able to change the direction of transmitting and receiving beams. CONSTITUTION:A beam direction calculating circuit 3 generates an accurate measuring radar PAR beam informations (d) having high or low informations added to the distance and direction informations of the information (e) based on the positional informations of a target obtained as positional informations (d) of a not-yet-traced target which do not include altitude informations. The informations (d) are supplied to a PAR which can select and vary the direction of the transmitting and receiving beams, so that the not-yet-traced target is traced through spatial scanning of beams having the distance and direction added with high and low angles. A judging circuit 4 sends informations (f) requiring informations to be sent again if a desired target is not detected in the answering informations (g) of the PAR. A circuit 3 supplies the informations (e) to search for a direction in which the not-yet-traced target may possibly be caught. The not-yet-traced target is repeatedly searched until it is caught.</p> |
