The zeolites bonded with oligomeric silica are produced by mixing a suspension (I) of the zeolite (Z) in water with an aq. solution of oligomeric silica (S) and alkyl-ammonium hydroxide (Q), and quickly drying the resultant suspension. (Z) is 20-50 wt.% in (I); mole ratio (S):(Q) is 0.05 to 2:S:(water)ratio is 0.0250.0125; (S):(Z) ratio is 5:95 to 20:80. (Z) has pore dia. 5-13 Angstrom, and is either (i) calcined and anhydrous zeolite, opt. exchanged with ammonium ions, or (ii) damp zeolite containing ammonium or alkyl ammonium counter-ions. opt. in presence of excess related hydroxides, as obtained by a hydrothermal treatment without a final calcination.
