An electromagnetic process is used for the treatment of wood products to destroy any larva or eggs of insects. The unit is constructed as a closed housing with a built in microwave generator that has a number of dipole emitters (9) coupled to magnetrons. The emitter outputs are directed at the objects that rotate on a turntable (6). The unit has a door (4) for access and a control panel (8) to set the operating conditions. ADVANTAGE - Uses microwave energy to destroy insect eggs and larva.
