发明名称 Successive active carbon walls - continuously remove solvent from air with desorption from opposite face
摘要 Sorptive active carbon for the molecular sepn. of solvents from air is formed into walls which adsorb solvent from the mixt. at one face, with desorption from the opposite face after migration of solvent between the faces. Desorption is effected by reduced pressure adjacent the exit surface, and can be aided by slight temp. rise. The walls may be concentric rings in a cylindrical housing with an axial gas outlet pipes. In an alternative the walls are transversely disposed in a cylinder and have indented flow passages at successively diametriclly opposed edges to form a meander path for air moving between the cylinder ends. Permeable support layers have the same configuration as the adsorber walls, and may be integral with them. ADVANTAGE - Self-contained separator works continuously, without external energy supply, has no moving parts, and cannot thermally break down the solvent.
