<p>PURPOSE:To equally resolve a material to be resolved by oscillating a steel-out side of an arc through electromagnetic power generated due to the arc caused in each magnetic field that is generated due to each current running in each conductor, as well as between a movable electrode and the material to be resolved. CONSTITUTION:A dc current output from a rectifier 2 runs in a scrap 8 from a furnace bottom electrode, while an arc (a) is generated between the scrap 8 and a movable electrode 5, and the scrap 8 is resolved due to the thermal energy of the arc. At the time, a magnetic field B1 is generated due to the current running between B-C and EF, while a magnetic field B2 is generated due to the current running between C and D. An electromagnetic force F1 is generated due to an arc current Ia and the magnetic field B1, while an electromagnetic force F2 is generated due to the current Ia and the magnetic field B2. A compositional electromagnetic force F0 of these electromagnetic forces F1, F2 works on the arc, which is oscillated to the side of a steel-out port 22, whereby the scrap 8 is equally resolved.</p> |
