The facade structure has individual plates (1) mechanically secured to a base structure, and pref. glued to it also. The structure (2) is secured to a support frame, fixed to the outside wall (4) of the building. The plate comprises a single pane of thermally prestressed, safety glass with protruding anchor bolts (5) built into its rear side. They fit in undercut holes (11) in the plate via a layer of adhesive (12) so that they cannot slide or turn.
