Gas fillers with replaceable filter inserts, for mounting in the inlet connections of gas pressure regulating units, are claimed. In one filter, the novelty is that the gas passageway (22) is widened to form an enlarged filter inlet space (17) and outlet space (18) in which is mounted a filter element (7) with an externally accessible closure screw (6). The widened portion (17,18) is formed within a monometer connection side socket (5) provided on a regulator inlet socket (2) having a gas bottle or container connector (3). In a second filter, the novelty is that a filter device (1) is arranged within the side socket (5) or in a filter housing provided separately from the regulator housing (4) and provided with matching filter housing connections. The filter device (1) consists of a filter closure screw or device (6); a bottom tray with a rim recessed below the gas passageway (22); and a filter element (7) fixed to the bottom tray. ADVANTAGE - The filters have a relatively large filtering area and can be cleaned without dirt remaining in the filter space of the regulating units.
