The grinder uses two single wheels each armed with grit and carried on a boss and variably spaced by an interposed energy storage device bearing on the two wheels. At least one of the wheels (5b) should bear axially against the direction of the storage device, pref. a leaf spring stack (12), on an adjusting nut (11) screwed to the common wheel (5a,5b) boss (7). USE/ADVANTAGE - Grinder has a wheel adjusted to exact setting by boss fitted nut which eases spring assisted wheel spacing to suit machined slot, groove etc.
