Mfr. involves forming a starting material from radiation absorbent and transparent layers, cutting the material into strips and fixing the strips together opt. aligned to a focus in an inclined position. (a) Thick self-adhesive thermoplastic foil, as radiation transparent spacer layer, is applied onto a radiation absorbent foil by hot pressing to form a two-layer starting material; (b) material is cut into two-layer strips; and (c) strips are hot press bonded together.
