PURPOSE:To limit the illegal use of a storage medium by any third person without fail by automatically registering regular personal identification information on the storage medium and making it effective while referring to prescribed personal information registered in advance and collating information to be inputted. CONSTITUTION:Each user inserts a carried ID card 56 to a slot 53 of an ID card registering device and inputs the personal identification number by ten keys 51. The ID card registering device collates the personal information on a magnetic stripe 54 of the ID card 56 with the personal identification number and when they are coincident, the more detailed regular personal identification information is recorded through a contact 55 to an IC memory in the ID card 56. After the lapse of fixed time, the personal information in the IC memory of the ID card 56 is erased and the same card is made ineffective. Thus, the ID card can be prevented from being used by the person illegally getting the card, and security is prevented from being lowered. |
