A method of preventing failures of hydrocarbons oxidation reactors, during which compounds insoluble in the reaction environment are created as by-products, characterized in that the process of hydrocarbons oxidation, carried out with gases containing oxygen, is continued until the temperature of the oxidation reactor blanket in relation to the reaction temperature is decreased by maximum 70 degrees C at the ambient temperature below 0 degree C, and by maximum 50 degrees C at the ambient temperature of over 0 degree C, where the differences in temperatures refer mainly to the last four chambers of the multi-section oxidation reactor, and further the operation of the reactor is stopped and the deposits are removed according to known methods.<IMAGE>
