The engine has a number of wind load surfaces. These are located on continuous elements, e.g. chains, which move over deflective pulleys. The pulleys partly act as drive wheels. The active wind load surfaces (19-21), moving in direction of wind current, are positioned next to each other on two continuous chains (10, which are at a distance to each other. The surfaces combine to form a large wind load surface, and due to this the active wind load surface moving against the wind current direction, is reduced. The chain pulleys (11, 12) are positioned above each other, and the wind load surfaces are hinged to the chains. When moving against direction of wind current, the surfaces are tilted into a low-resistance position. ADVANTAGE - Improved efficiency, compact construction.
