The ink is formulated from (i) an epoxy resin, (ii) an epoxy resin ester reacted with a mixture of one or more unsaturated monobasic acids and one or more reactive monomers, or a mixture of (i) and (ii), together with one or more pigments, a glycol or glycol ether solvent, a drier and an amine curing agent. The ink is especially useful for the printing of security documents, particularly currency.
