PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for eliminating, reducing or preventing bacterial biofilms.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a method for eliminating, reducing or preventing bacterial biofilms by means of a fusion protein comprising an endolysin, autolysin or bacteriocin fused to a peptide having a membrane or LPS disrupting activity. Further, the invention relates to fusion proteins for use as medicaments, in particular for treating or preventing Gram negative and/or Gram positive bacterial infections associated with bacterial biofilm, diagnostic means, disinfectants or cosmetic substances.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
