METHOD OF CUTTING THE NECK OF CRT AND APPARATUS OF THE SAME

The CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) neck cutting apparatus prevents glass fragments from going into the CRT by using the vacuum pressure difference between the CRT (30) and the vacuum chamber (11). The cutting apparatus comprises the vacuum chamber (11) having a plurality of fixtues (11a) for holding the CRTs; a first vacuum pump (14) connected with a connection pipe having a valve (12) on; a second vacuum pump (15) having an inlet port (15a) connected with the vacuum chamber (11), and a discharge outlet port (15b) connected with the inlet port (14a) of the first vacuum pump (14); a second valve (16) equipped between the discharge port (15b) of the second vacuum pump (15), and the inlet port (14a) of the first vacuum pump (14).
