The invention relates to a system for manipulating dies having a rectangular and/or arched cross section. The system comprises: a support for removably positioning dies of rectangular cross section, which support can be slidably coupled to a stationary structure, and at least said support being equipped with securing means for vertically supporting at least one die of rectangular cross-section in the air; and a manipulator provided with attachment means for coupling same to the support in order to position and/or remove the support in relation to the stationary structure, said manipulator having coupling means for coupling same to a stacker crane or similar. The system is intended to facilitate the operations of positioning and removing dies during the storage thereof.
