The method effectively identifies the call specification for ISDN telephone. The device includes a central processor (100) which controls the total function of telephone like hook, premitive, and call control processing, a ROM (20), a RAM (30) which temporarily saves the data, a hook interface means which detects the hook on/off states, an analog interface means (50) which provides the tone and voice signals. The method includes a 1st step which detects the hook on/off states, a 2nd step which forms the corresponding premitive, a 3rd step which requires the premitive process, and a 4th step which executes the call control function.
