A method for managing Mobile Termination (MT) paging messages in a single radio long term evolution (SRLTE) communication device, comprising: receiving an MT paging message; determining whether a base station handover has occurred since the MT paging message was received; determining a current paging channel that the SRLTE communication device selected from a current serving base station in response to determining that the base station handover has occurred since the MT paging message was received; determining whether there is a mismatch between the current paging channel and an original paging channel that the SRLTE communication device had selected from an original serving base station when the MT paging message was received; and sending a MT page response message to the current serving base station on the current paging channel in response to determining the mismatch between the current paging channel and the original paging channel.
