Date Feb. 15, 1996The present invention relates to a process for controlling the proper operation of an air-assisted injector (17) during the start-up phase of an internal combustion engine (11). This injector is adapted to deliver a predetermined quantity of fuel to the engine. The process according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises: a verification a posteriori, during a stabilized idle phase, that a predetermined quantity of air can be injected during the air assistance phase. The present invention also relates to a device which implements this process and is particularly applicable to the field of automotive electronics. |
