The invention consists in the fact that the wall or roof panels 2, 3 are assembled at the construction site to form a horizontal (portal) section, the bottom sides 2a of the wall panels 2 being placed separately in a tilting mechanism 4, after which the section 2, 3 is moved, in the tilting mechanism 4 and with the aid of a lifting device, from the horizontal position into the vertical construction position. The tilting mechanism 4 is positioned at the construction site in the vicinity of the base of a (vertical) portal which has already been erected, so that after tilting the wall panels 2 bear against the upright section. <IMAGE>
