<p>The transmission includes at least one shift fork to effect a selectable shifting of gears. Each shift fork is selectively positionable in at least one engagement position in which the input and output shafts are operatively coupled and a neutral position in which the output shaft is disengaged from the input shaft. A position sensor is cooperatively associated with each the shift fork to sense the positioning of the corresponding the shift fork in the neutral position. Each position sensor is mounted on a removable access cover to be located in direct contact with the corresponding the shift fork such that the movement of the corresponding shift fork into the neutral position effects a movement of a sensor switch to signal its status.</p> |
