Extraction and isolation of cells or masses of cells from a digested organ or part of an organ comprises injecting the organ with a digestion liq. which breaks down the connective tissue around the cells in question. The organ is then placed in a vessel filled with liq. and agitated by mechanical rotation as it is digested. The vessel is then emptied and the cells of interest sepd. Also claimed is a device for carrying out the above method.
