The portable storage device has a rear opening (8) provided in the shell (1) which provides access to the shell interior and is closed by a hatch (9). Both the shell and the hatch incorporate heat insulating layers. When the hatch is closed, the heat insulating layers form a cohesive, heat-insulating barrier between the storage space and the outside of the container. The harness (2) is releasably connected with the container front wall (3) and comprises shoulder and waist straps which are fastened on a common rigid back piece, which in turn has an arrangement for coupling to the container. The container, after removal of the harness, can independently be used as a separate mobile refrigerator. The harness back piece coupling arrangement comprises a plate distanced from the back piece with opposite side edges converging in a direction upwards for pushing into engagement with a seat formed in the container main wall. The seat is limited by tracks which, as with the plate side edges, converge upwards. |
