PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductive wire rod which adopts a structure resistant to damage of an oxide superconductive layer even when stress is applied and its production method.SOLUTION: An oxide superconductive wire rod includes an oxide superconductive laminate in which a middle layer and an oxide superconductive layer are formed on the principal surface of a substrate, a protective layer formed on the outer periphery of the oxide superconductive laminate and a stabilization layer formed on the protective layer, and the protective layer consists of a first protective layer which is formed so as to cover the principal surface of the oxide superconductive layer and composed of Ag or an Ag alloy and a second protective layer which is formed so as to cover the back surface of the substrate opposite to the principal surface and composed of Ag or an Ag alloy; the stabilization layer is provided so as to cover at least a part of the first and second protective layers; and the peel strength between the substrate and the second protective layer is lower than the peel strength between the oxide superconductive layer and the middle layer. |
