Projections (1a) on a casing body (1) each include a recess (7) into which an end portion (3a) with a substantially rectangular cross-section of an attachment pin (3) of the watchstrap (2) is inserted through an aperture (8). The pin (3) is adhered to the strap (2) in such a way that it is angularly integral therewith. The end portions (3a) are inserted into the recesses (7) in the direction of the arrow (9) while holding the strap in a position perpendicular to the plane of the casing so that said end portions (3a) of the pin (3) can engage said apertures (8). Once the end portions (3a) of the pin (3) are inserted into the recesses (7), the strap (2) is rotated in the direction of the arrow (10) until said portions (3a) of the pin (3) are trapped in the recesses (7).
