<p>The method involves generating a list of automatically starting programs by assigning registered entries at relevant extension points to installed programs. The list of the automatically starting programs is compared with a list of system-required programs and a list of used programs. Programs that are not system-required and programs that are not used for longer period of time are deactivated, and computer resources used by the deactivated programs are released.</p> |
