FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for underground mining of mineral seams. According to method, pillars are worked in interperpendicular directions. Before start of working first pillar, driven are sectional haulage ways of first and second pillars, and driven between them is auxiliary working. First pillar is mined by straight run from main development workings to boundaries of stoping section with gobbing sectional haulage way of first pillar ahead of longwall in section between splittable breakthrough of first longwall and auxiliary working. Splittable breakthrough of second longwall is driven in one line with dismantling chamber of first longwall before start of dismantling equipment in first longwall. Second pillar is worked by reverse run to boundaries of stoping section towards main development workings. Before starting this operation, sectional ventilation air heading of second pillar is driven between auxiliary and main development workings. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwgc
