FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has heat exchange unit having two reservoirs containing working cold carrier agent. High heat conductivity and heat capacity liquid is usable as cold carrier agent. The reservoirs are elongated cylinders connected to priozoid supply and discharge channels by means of tubes which inlet openings are close to working cold carrier agent reservoir bottoms. Upper part of one of the working cold carrier agent reservoirs is connected to evaporating unit having control valve. Upper part of the second one is connected to accumulating reservoir. Additional cold carrier is placed in evaporator and heat exchange unit cavities. EFFECT: accelerated process for freezing limited volumes of biological tissues. 2 cl, 1 dwgt
