Measuring and displaying transmission characteristics of digital hearing aid containing speech processor

As a test signal, a word is fed into the hearing aid, and wideband noise is introduced. The noise signal is introduced in a high-energy part of the word. A synthetically produced noise signal is used which has a low crest factor and even frequency distribution. Before the sum signal comprising the word and the noise is supplied as a test signal, an unaltered word is supplied at least once. A measurement result is calculated which represents an average value of several frequency analyses.
