The end folds (15) of cellophane wrappings (13) applied to products (11) advancing along a given feed direction (7) are heat-sealed by a device (1) appearing substantially as a feed channel (8). The channel coincides with the feed direction (7) and is compassed at least on one side by a conveyor belt (2) extending parallel with a predetermined path (9) followed by the products (11) and equipped with a succession of heated pads (17) positioned to enter into contact with selected portions (16) of the end folds (15); during their passage along the path (9), only the pads (17) occupying one or more limited sections of the feed channel (8) will be heated, according to the amount of thermal energy that needs effectively to be transferred to the pads (17) in order to seal the folds (15).
