FIELD: control of fuel, air and exhaust gas flow in various systems. SUBSTANCE: actuating device has housing where rotor is mounted with knife-edge support made from magnetically soft material secured on its axle. Permanent magnets are secured on knife-edge support. Swivel throttling member is connected with knife-edge support for reciprocating motion. Drive of throttling member is made in form of two toroidal cores made from magnetically soft material; wound on these cores are two opposing half-windings. Cores are inserted in thin-walled sleeve and are shifted through an angle of 90 deg relative to each other. length of magnets fitted on knife-edge support is less than total length of two toroidal cores with half-windings.
