A printer reservoir (112a) is placed in a support (70) in a carriage that moves up and down during printing. A capacitor plate (121a), that forms part of a capacitor with the reservoir, is mounted on a moving plate (135) that can be moved to a disengaged position to make insertion of the reservoir easier. An Independent claim is made for a printer using the printer reservoir mounted in a carriage that moves up and down support guides during printing.
