SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a woody decorative material comprises the steps of laminating a transfer sheet S having at least two layers of a decorative layer 3 and a thermoplastic emboss receiving layer 4 at least at the time of embossing as a transfer layer 2 to a support sheet 1 on a woody base material, then executing a protrusion and recess pattern arriving at the receiving layer in the state that the receiving layer is thermoplastic by embossing from above the transfer sheet in the state that the sheet 1 is not released, then releasing the sheet 1 and completing its transferring.
