FIELD: automotive industry; car bodies. SUBSTANCE: car body has skeleton made of tubular members, movable body members (doors, hood and trunk lid and stationary body members (glasses, fenders, roof and splash guards), all mounted on skeleton. Stationary body members, at least fenders and splash guards, are secured on tubular members of skeleton by detachable joints. Splash guards are made of nonmetallic material. EFFECT: reduced labour input in assembling of car body, facilitated repairing, including replacement of splash guards whose service life is less than that of other body members. 6 cl, 1 dwg
