PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to calculate the moving vector of stable whole image from the detection results of local moving vectors at less positions. SOLUTION: The image moving vector detecting method detects local moving vectors between at least two input images at plural positions and calculates the moving vector of the whole image from these local moving vector detection results. In this case, the local moving vectors of all detecting positions are detected (S1), the local moving vector detection result for every detecting position is automatically weighted in accordance with these input images (S2) and the local moving vector detection result of highest weight out of the local moving vector detection results of all detecting positions is set up as an image moving vector between the input images (S3, S4).
