PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an agricultural/horticultural composition having higher controlling effect at lower concentrations than a methylisoxazole single agent, exhibiting preventive and remedying effect on a variety of disease injuries, and having marked plant-growing action by including a methylisoxazole and phosphorous acid. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including (A) 5-methylisoxazole or a salt thereof [e.g. alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt, ammonium salt, pref. potassium salt] and (B) phosphorous acid or a salt thereof [e.g. alkali (alkaline earth) metal salt, pref. potassium or calcium salt] in the weight ratio B/A of pref. (0.1-10), more pref. (0.5-5). For the amount of this composition for agricultural/horticultural use, the ingredient A to be applied per are is normally 0.01-1,000 g, preferably 1-200 g.
