PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely and easily perform a blade snapping operation by supporting a blade snapping pawl abutted to a blade plate on a tip side from the snapping line groove of a blade snapping object so as to be freely brought closer and away to/from the blade plate on the other side face of the blade plate by a blade snapping operation part and pushing a broken snapped blade piece through an opening part to a recovery container. SOLUTION: When the blade snapping operation part is operated, an operation lever part 25 is pushed downwards, the blade snapping pawl 20 is pressed to the blade plate 13 on the tip side from the snapping line groove 14 of the blade snapping object and pressurizing force is added to the tip side, the pressurizing force acts with the edge part 17c of a blade snapping supporting part 17b as a fulcrum and the blade plate 13 is broken at the snapping line groove 14 of the blade snapping object. At this time, since the snapping line groove 14 of the blade snapping object is surely positioned at the edge part 17c of the blade snapping supporting part 17b, the pressurizing force of the blade snapping pawl 20 appropriately acts on the snapping line groove 14 as shearing force and breaking is easily and accurately performed at the snapping line groove 14. Thus, blade snapping work is safely performed without scattering the snapped blade piece around.
