PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for taking out an old liner from the inside of a container tire in a short time and at a low cost. SOLUTION: This is a method for taking out a liner 2 from a container that the liner 2 is fixed in the container tire 1 by shrinkage fit. The method consists of a heating process for heating the whole container uniformly, a supporting process for supporting the container tire only, before or after the heating process, by supporting members 9 so that the axial center of the container becomes perpendicular, a cooling process for forcibly cooling the liner from inside by supplying cooling water into it so as to make it shrink, and a separating process for making the liner fall by gravity or pressurization from between the supporting members.
