PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent penetration of rainwater from a resin-made insulator pipe outer surface so as to prevent deterioration caused, by coating the outer surface of resin-made insulator pipe with a normal temperature glass coating agent, and making the coating thickness a specified one. SOLUTION: An insulator pipe 1 has thereon a film, whose thickness is 10-13 mm, which film is formed by applying a normal temperature glass coating agent to the oure surface of insulator pipe body 1a made of resin, such as epoxy resin or FRP by the brushing method or immersion method, and hardenening the same. In this case, in the normal temperature glass coating agent, 40 wt.% or more of silicon component is contained. Such the film formed of normal temperature glass coating agent not only has characteristic for preventing of transmission of water therethrough, is superior in flexibility, contamination resistance and chemical resistance as well as ultraviolet ray proof property. Accordingly, a cable terminal end connection part with the insulator pipe 1 having the film 1b thereon has resistance to intrusion of water for a long period of time, and an improved tracking resistance.
