PURPOSE: A more convenient service is offered at a playing of D-VHS(digital video home system) data by recording an additional service data to use a dummy data section generated by a smoothing technique when data is recorded in the D-VHS. CONSTITUTION: A fixed service is searched and offered by responding to an operating command of fixed service when a starting cord of additional service is searched from data recorded in a tape. A starting cord of variable service is searched by responding to an operating command of variable service. An additional service corresponding to a service informational cord is performed based on an address cord of variable service when the starting cord of variable cord is searched. Thereby, the convenience of using is devised and the use is increased by recording additional information in an area filled with unnecessary dummy data at playing.
