PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a main memory, which is to be provided in a computer or electric equipment for domestic use, into zero or minimum by making a network memory managing device have a memory area required for the computer or electric equipment for domestic use. SOLUTION: Plural client computers 2 are connected through a high-speed LAN 6 on a communication network to a network memory managing device 1. Each client computer 2 loads a minimum main memory 3 capable of booting an OS and a memory service for borrowing a main memory area required for activating an application program from the network memory managing device 1 is operated in the main memory 3. When the application program is activated in the client computer 2, the memory service is connected to the network memory managing device 1 and the network memory managing device 1 allocates the main memory area of the application program operated by the client computer 2.
