PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a specific display which is easy to see for various background colors by allowing a control part to specify a specific area at part of the screen of a display part and make the specific display in the specific area by using the color complementary to the background color displayed in the specific area when input to an input part is done. SOLUTION: When input to an input part 12 is done by pressing a menu key, a control part 3 affirms a decision on an OSD(on-screen-display) display. When the decision is the displaying, OSD position confirmation is performed. Namely, the control part 3 specifies as a specific area the area determined by necessary start and end points. Then the control part 3 extracts an image of the OSD display part, detects the colors of the extracted part, and averages the colors. Then the control part 3 performs an OSD image complementary color process. The control part 3 adds RGB(red, green and blue) data on the color complementary to the background color for characters to be outputted in the specific area by the input of the input part 12 and composes an image.
