SOLUTION: In order to thoroughly supply a power for quickly increasing the temperature up to the appropriate temperature for fixation, a processing operation is not executed at an early stage(prior to a printing operation), the power is distributed to the fixing device 17 in a concentrated state, and after the temperature of the hot-wire fixing roller 17a rises up to the appropriate temperature for fixation, the temperature is controlled for the prescribed time, but the heat is emitted from the surface of the roller 17a, then, even in the case of turning a halogen lamp 171g off, the occurrence of overshooting is prevented.
