PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a lead wire for a capacitor, that can prevent generation of whiskers. SOLUTION: In a cleaning device 20, a lead wire for a capacitor is cleaned with cleaning liquid that is slightly alkaline at a temperature of 90 deg.C-99 deg.C for approximately 12 minutes, an aluminum wire is degreased, and carbon, generated when a copper wire is welded to the aluminum wire, is removed. A dryer 25 heats the lead wire for the capacitor at a temperature of approximately 150 deg.C for approximately 21 minutes for drying, and at the same time, prevents whiskers from growing.
