PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the locker shaft structure of an engine for enabling arrangement of a locker shaft, with a simple structure without increasing cost. SOLUTION: This engine is provided in a cylinder head 8 with a valve system device 20, such as a cam shaft 21, intake and exhaust valves, intake and exhaust cams 24 and 25, a locker arm for exhaust, and a locker shaft 28 for turnably supporting the locker arm. In this case, bearing bosses 31a-31d for supporting a cam shaft 21 are formed in the cylinder head 8. A planar seat 50 is formed on bearing bosses 31a-31d whereas, a planar seat 51 is formed on the locker shaft 28. The two planar seats 50 and 51 are matched with each other, and the locker shaft 28 is situated on bearing bosses 31a-31d.
