PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a thick curved pipe which manufactures a piping elbow material of high dimensional accuracy, using a thick pipe material. SOLUTION: This manufacturing device for a thick curved pipe having an upper die 10 and a bottom die 20 comprises; the upper die 10 being equipped with a pressing die 12 and an upper guide 11 having a circular arc shape guide face 11a, the bottom die 20 being equipped with circular arc shape sliding faces 20C, and a pair of bottom dies 21, 22 having the faces 20, and a bottom guide 30 being equipped with sliding faces 30a, 30a. Interlocking with the descent of the upper die 10, the pair of bottom dies 21, 22 slide respectively abutting along the arc shape guide face 11a of the upper die 10 upper guide 11. Simultaneously, the bottom dies 21, 22 slide abutting along the slide faces 30a, 30a of the bottom guide 30. Thus, the pair of the bottom dies 21, 22 rotate respectively facing with each other.
