In an oxidation color for keratin fibers, especially human hair, which contains p-aminophenol derivative(s) in a suitable medium, the coupler component comprises 3-aminophenol(s) (I) and/or 2-aminopyridine(s) (II) and/or their physiologically compatible salts, provided that, if (I) is 3-amino-2-chloro-6-methylphenol, the color also contains other coupler(s).
