A valve arrangement has a movable piston (2) in a control chamber (1). The control chamber has an axial connection (3) for the supply of a first hydraulic fluid, a radial connection (4) for the discharge of the first hydraulic fluid plus a rear connection (6). The rear connection is connected with the axial connection via a control line (7) which communicates with a drain line (9) via a controllable proportional pressure valve (8). The piston is connected with a piston rod (10) of a double-working piston-cylinder unit (11) which can be operated by a second hydraulic fluid via a controllable adjusting valve (12).
